Did you know some Nintendo 64 games have batteries that need replacing occasionally?

While many Nintendo 64 Games require a memory card (Controller Pak) to save, some are not designed to save, and a lucky few save directly to the board itself, there are a few games that have a battery soldered onto the board for preserving the save file. Over time (15-20 years) the batteries can become depleated and need replacing.
The following is a list of Nintendo 64 games that feature a save battery:
1080 Snowboarding
Animal Crossing (JPN) for time keeping clock not save data
Dezaemon 3D (JPN)
F-Zero X
Harvest Moon 64
Ocarina of Time
Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr.
Mario Golf
New Tetris
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
Pokémon Stadium
Pocket Monsters Stadium (JPN)
Resident Evil 2
Super Smash Bros.
WCW/NWO Revenge
WWF: Wrestlemania 2000
Funny enough the Controller Paks (memory card) also utilize a battery to save the save files! So even if you are saving your file externally on a Controller Pak that too will eventually need replacing

I never knew (particularly the Controller Paks having batteries). Great shop & site!
